I've been working in the medical field for 25+ years. I've enjoyed every aspect of it from the field to the floor, and everything in between. I especially have enjoyed helping people and saving lives. I currently work for a medical lab that provides cardiac diagnostic testing and remote cardiac device testing and management. I have been enamored with the heart since my father's open-heart surgery when I was young. I think that's why I have gravitated to the cardiology field.
I have been writing books and short stories since I was about nine or ten. My family traveled a lot, so writing kept my mind and stomach off being car sick.
Every adventure seemed to unlock a new story. It was my personal escape. The places you could go, the things you could see, and the wonderful things you could do in those stories.
I was fearless! At least until my pen stopped and reality crashed into me. I was mostly shy. It was hard meeting new friends and then having to say goodbye to those friends. But they were each other story.
My favorite books in Middle-School were these mystery chapter books that, at the end of each chapter, you could pick a page to jump to and alter the ending. There were so many jumps to these books that you could read it several times and get a different ending every time. It was an amazing journey.
I think that's when I had decided I wanted to become a writer. I wanted to give people that same kind of euphoria when they closed the last page of my book.
